What is PassivGlas?

PassivGlas is a brand new glazing solution for modern and heritage windows. PassivGlas comprises two panes of glass separated by a vacuum, which means thinner windows with improved performance.

Unlike double glazing the panes of glass are not separated by a spacer, so are much closer to one another. The vacuum between the two panes of glass preserves the energy and thermal efficiency of the window. This means thinner windows without loss of insulation or energy efficiency. In fact, PassivGlas is generally more energy efficient than traditional double glazing.

High Performance Vacuum Glazing

  • Significantly Thinner – The use of a vacuum means that the space between panes of glass can be much narrower than with double glazing, creating overall glazing thinness of 8.15mm. This makes it perfect for traditional designs where double glazing would ruin the heritage affect.
  • Energy Efficient  – PassivGlas offers excellent thermal insulation and has a U-value of 0.49W/m²K, meaning your energy costs will be lower and your house will be more comfortable.
  • Durable & Long-Lasting – Passivglas is designed to be a long-lasting solution, capable of performing in the harshest weather conditions year after year.
  • Sustainable – Passivglas contributes to lower carbon emissions and helps buildings meet green certifications like Passive House or LEED.
  • Noise Reduction – The triple-glazed structure significantly dampens outside noise, making it ideal for urban or high-traffic environments.
  • More Natural Light – Larger, energy-efficient windows allow for brighter spaces without sacrificing thermal performance.
